Japanese visionary Issey Miyake, renowned for his avant-garde fashion and innovative fabric techniques, translated his minimalist aesthetic into the fragrance world in 1992. The brand debuted with the iconic L'Eau d'Issey, a clever play on the French word for "Odyssey". Introducing a pioneering, water-inspired scent for women that was soon followed by a highly successful men's counterpart. Developed in partnership with Shiseido, Issey Miyake fragrances are celebrated for their clean, nature-driven profiles. The house has since built an expansive catalog of over 100 distinctive perfumes and colognes, crafted in collaboration with an elite roster of master perfumers including Jacques Cavallier, Olivier Cresp, Alberto Morillas, and Dominique Ropion.
